Aims and Objectives

   

 



 

1. To take initiatives for reducing stigma & discrimination and myths & misconceptions associated with HIV & AIDS and STIs for creating enabling environment for effectively combating the epidemic in Northern Areas

2. To raise awareness, sensitization, bringing attitudinal & behavior change among masses of HIV, AIDS and other related infectious diseases by organizing seminars, workshops, conferences, walks, speech, poster, quiz competitions, radio talks, cable coverage, mass media campaign and collecting, printing, publishing, issues and circulate such papers, periodicals, books, broachers, newsletters, circulars, statistics and such other publications as may be conducive to the achievement of the objectives of the NAACC.

3. Special attention will be focused on the high-risk groups who are vulnerable to attract HIV, and other related infection. Those who are involved in sex work, using drugs (IDUs), trade, commerce, transportation, mining, and tourism.

4. To undertake interventions-based projects to combat HIV & AIDS, STIs, Hepatitis, Malaria and Tuberculosis.

5. Work towards capacity building of member organizations registered with Northern Areas AIDS Control Consortium on HIV & AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Hepatitis, Malaria and Tuberculosis with related other health and social issues in Northern Areas.

6. To promote and ensure Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and SRH Rights in the region

7. Fostering Advocacy and Public Private Partnership (PPP) efforts to sensitize and motivate the policy makers from public and private sector for HIV&AIDS and infectious diseases mainstreaming in Northern Areas.

8. Promote and forge linkages with Government, Polity, Private Sector, UN system, NGOs, INGOs, CSOs, LSOs, VOs, WOs and CBOs and with National and International Donors to address HIV&AIDS and other health and social issues in the Northern Areas.

9. Conducting research, studies and surveys on HIV & AIDS and other infectious diseases in Northern Areas.
10. To carryout all other lawful functions, exhibitions, trade fairs, festivals as may be identical or conducive to the attainment of the aims and objectives of NAACC.

11. To render technical, managerial, supervisory and advisory assistance on AIDS to general public and those who need this assistance. Generate income to be used to NAACC’s sustainability.

12. To take concrete steps accelerating human and social development in the Northern in particular and Pakistan in general.
